I know many of you thought Annie Duke should have won Celebrity Apprentice. The one thing that does irritate me about the finale, was that Donald Trump really ignored the way Joan Rivers had treated the event planner. Now that the truth has come out about that, I'm shocked that he has basically backed away from it. I think it should have been discussed in more detail.

If you're like me, you're wondering why the heck Donald Trump let Joan Rivers get away with her bad behavior toward that event planner. Trump wouldn't even let Annie Duke get a word in edgewise about it.

I caught this extremely interesting interview with the event planner, who confirmed that he quit because of Joan's bad treatment. Read it and see if you don't agree that Donald (and Joan) owe Annie an apology.

Wowsa! Comparing Annie Duke to Hitler was a bit much, dontcha think? I'm worried that Joan Rivers might be losing her mind. Get that woman some sleep! You're working her too hard!

I actually enjoy Annie quite a bit and think she has a really great chance of winning the whole thing. I'm predicting Jesse, Joan, and Annie in the final three.

I thought Jesse James made a very heartfelt speech about Dennis and Hershel being total opposites with regard to behavior since leaving the athletic field.

I had a feeling the men's team would win this week. And while I liked Claudia (shown above at the Ivy) she was not a good project manager. To say the least!

I didn't think her making fun of Melissa did her any favors. I don't super love Melissa, but she obviously did a great job, so I ended up feeling sorry for her because Claudia just kept attacking her. I mean, what's up with that?

Anyways, the men had a well-deserved win, and Dennis Rodman managed to squeak through another week. I've got the full episode recap here.

One of the things that makes The Apprentice such a hit is the fact that Donald Trump's children are a part of things. I think it's fascinating to see Ivanka and Don, Jr. because they don't come off as spoiled children but smart business people.

In this world of spoiled rich kids who drive drunk and party until they are way into their 30s, it's refreshing to see "rich kids" who don't have egos the size of Chicago.

To that end, I really enjoyed this article about Ivanka Trump, and what the Trumps may have done differently when raising their children.

Just posted the Week 3 Synopsis of Celebrity Apprentice on Suite. What did you guys think? It was rather boring and a bit predictable. After all, who really thought Tom Green would have won?

2009 Celebrity Apprentice – Week 1

Just posted the episode summary for the first week of Celebrity Apprentice. Did you see the show?

I really loved it, but then again I'm a sucker for any reality show that incorporates a game and marketing. What's not to love?

I liked the fact that a bunch of celebs jump through hoops to get money for their charities. And making cupcakes to do it? That's just brilliant!

Good to see the new Playboy Bunny for this season (Brande Roderick) learned from her counterpart last year (Tiffany Fallon) by actually using her Playboy contacts rather than "saving them" for the future.

So far I can see Joan Rivers dominating in this game. And the guys are a woefully dysfunctional bunch. Should be a fun season.

While I like Trace Adkins, I found this article on his being at a disadvantage for the Celebrity Apprentice final showdown extremely annoying. After all, if Trump would have gone by track record alone Trace would not have been in the final at all. Carol would have.

Trace didn't win any of the previous challenges. Why he feels he was at a disadvantage just because his "bigwig" pals were out of town is RIDICULOUS. Simon Cowell was all the way in England and Piers got him to donate.

Up until now I have praised Trace. Not this time. I say: COP OUT.

Piers is the winner!

I think this decision made sense. As much as I like Trace, this was a competition and Trace had not even won a challenge yet! (All the more reason Carol should have been in the final with Piers.)

I think Piers took a lot of heat and Trump really picked on him. That made me feel for him even more. I think he put his heart and soul into the competition and that's why he came off the way he did. He wanted to win for the soldiers and that is a very worthwhile cause.

On a separate note, I was happy to see Canter Fitzgerald there and was surprised to see them donating so much money! Good for them. My heart goes out to them.

Down to Two - Woo Friggin Who

Okay, I've purposely avoided writing in here since the last episode because I CAN'T BELIEVE Trump booted Carol off!

For crying out loud - she had the BEST RECORD of the project managers. She's the ONLY project manager to have won on the ill-fated Empresario team. Whereas Trace, where I like him a lot, had not even won ONCE.

So why did The Donald go through the whole saga of having the contestants interview (since both said to keep Carol) AND have them go through challenges at all?

Trump's ego shown through on this one, and it wasn't pretty. Good vs. Evil? Give me a friggin break. Brit vs. American? PUH-leeze.

At this point, who cares who wins. Trump could have had a personal side bet and played out this game in his backyard. He didn't need a show to accomplish this mess.

Baldwin Fired

Last night's Celeb Apprentice was whopper, wasn't it? Despite it being "Omarosa-free" there was plenty of talk of her with Piers yapping about his victory. I can't say I blame him, though.

Plus, I really was sorry to see Stephen Baldwin go. I actually found that I quite liked him on the show.

Next week will be interesting. Trump is going to determine the final two. So.... you think it will be like previous Apprentice eppy's where there is yet another challenge and the winners both compete to be the Celebrity Apprentice? I hope so.

I REALLY hope Carol Alt is in the final two. I really want her to win.

Trace Adkins Wants to Win!

Trace Adkins tells GAC that he didn't expect to get this far in Celebrity Apprentice, but once he got in he was itching to win.

"I figured I'd go up there, hang out a couple of weeks and bring some
awareness to my charity," Trace says. "But we got halfway through, and I

Nely Galan talks about what the boardroom is REALLY like on Celebrity Apprentice over at Reality TV Magazine. She said while the boardroom is only about ten minutes on the show, it's actually about three hours.

WOW. Intense.

She also said people are operating on no sleep and no food. I can believe that. It explains why so many people are emotional and sweating and beside themselves.

What do you think of Piers Morgan? He's a bit like Simon Cowell in that he's kind of the grumpy Brit who doles it out straight. I think some people really appreciate that. I know I do.

And since he's battled Omarosa, he's got the attention of lots of folks.

Well now he's criticized Keira Knightley because she's complained about her fame. I've got to say, I agree with this one.

The Showbiz Spy reports that Piers said of Keira:

“She moans about being famous and then does endless photo sessions. You
can’t use the media to promote yourself and then attack them! My message to
Keira is: ‘If you’d like me to get off your case, stop bleating!’ Most people
would change their lives in a flash to have a tenth of what people like her
have. Being famous is brilliant.”

Omarosa is Lower than Low

Well, well, well. Last night's Celebrity Apprentice was another beaut. Omarosa survives again. Despite her taunting of Piers, she was extremely lucky he was a great project manager and the team managed to win. Otherwise she'd be out on her can.

What the heck is she thinking? Has she no respect for teamwork? Let alone respect for human dignity?

Wow - that episode made me sick. That woman is sick!

The thing is, she CAN'T be just edited this way. I already commented on how normally with reality TV I take it all with a grain of salt. But the thing is, she IS doing these things. She poured the champagne on Piers and said those things about his family. What the heck is her problem? Does she think she's funny? Entertaining?

She gives women in every area of business a bad name. That scene where she was in Piers' face saying "I ain't leaving" and "project manage!" and just would not let up.... that showed who she really was. She was willing to sabotage her whole team just to made someone look bad.

I hoped upon hope that Trump would can her. He didn't want to break the rules and fire her because she was on the winning team, but she contributed NOTHING to the team. She was the only one who brought in ZERO DOLLARS.

I'm not the only one that thought she should have been fired. A poll on the Celebrity Apprentice website showed:Yeah, Omarosa needs to go. What do you think?

Is Omarosa Really That Negative?

Is Omarosa really the wicked wench she appears to be?

That's the question BuddyTV ponders and I have to say, I agree with the writer's assessment. I know that people are edited to look like the villian or come off completely innocent. When I watch America's Next Top Model, for example, I take everything with a grain of salt, because they often focus on one person as the problem and just seem to magnify everything she does.

However, with Omarosa, I'm really torn. Take the pouring champagne over Piers' head last week. That wasn't just edited in, she really did that and there was absolutely no reason for it. The little lowlife jabs she takes in the boardroom. The fact that she said, "We know you like to drink, Piers, so help yourself to the champagne." The fact that she automatically starts targeting people and getting them on her side when a new challenge begins.

Of course, she could just be acting this way on purpose. I mean, would we really even want to talk about her if she faded into the background?

I know Nely Galan took the firing for Omarosa this week, but I'm still glad she's gone. She seems manic and not very organized. Perhaps it's how she's edited or how she comes off on screen.

Omarosa Dodged a Firing from The Donald

Well even with this week's Celebrity Apprentice being only an hour, it had more substance than last week's bloated mess.

One thing that's interesting to me is that even when the guy's have a lousy leader (as Lennox surely was - oddly enough) they seem to still pull out their duties and roll with it.

The ladies on the other hand... sheesh. I feel sorry for Carol Alt, as I think she's probably the only sane one on the team. Omarosa embarrassed herself by pouring champagne on Pier's head, and if I was on her team I'd be plenty disgusted with her.

Omarosa had a method each time she takes over as project manager. She focuses on one of her teammates to attack during the process in case she doesn't win. And she DOESN'T WIN. She's the only project manager to lose two challenges. She should have gone, in my opinion, especially because she's the one that came up with the concept.

I'm obviously not the only one that thinks that. Here's a poll from the Celebrity Apprentice site, asking who should have been fired. At the time I took the poll, here were the results:

Oh yah... Omarosa is not liked in reality TV land. She really should have gone, but Donald Trump was still thinking about Nely Galan's close calls with being fired. Nely should have been fired before, I agree.

And won't it be interesting with Stephen Baldwin in the Empresario mix! I loved that, "pepper it with a little Stevie B" line of his. Baldwin will bring something very different to that team, and I think either the women will rally against him or he'll help them finally put an end to the Omarosa saga.

After all, I think Marilu finally saw the light when it came to Omarosa. Remember how she said earlier that her, Nely, and Omarosa work as a great team? I doubt she thinks that anymore. Carol already tried to tell Marilu that on a previous show. Carol described Omarosa as a cancer that was eating the team from the inside out. They need to get rid of her if they want to win again. She's a negative force that pits people against each other.

More drama for Celebrity Apprentice? Apparently so. GAC News quotes a recent Trace Adkins interview this way:

"There's still more fallout to come from the whole 'Croc' episode," Trace told Dial-Global. "It's not over. As a matter of fact, at the end of last week's show, they didn't show some stuff that happened after that, and maybe they will this week, 'cause there was a lot more stuff that went on, and things are gonna change up again. So it's gonna be interesting."

From Sopranos to Reality TV

It appears Celebrity Apprentice has given a boost to Vincent Pastore's reality show resume.

Vincent Pastore will be back on reality television soon. He, Joe Gannascoli (the guy who played Vito and was also on Celebrity Fit Club) and Tony Darrow (another Soprano guy that was on the show briefly) will be on an upcoming reality series.

In the show, they'll take over a restaurant in the Bronx and try and get it going again.

The new show should be ready to air in the spring.

BuddyTV has a preview and some thoughts on the next Celebrity Apprentice. I agree with Oscar Dahl's assessment about Omarosa, and about Piers and the whole "rat" issue with Vinnie Pastore. In the clip they have on the site, Omarosa just embarasses herself with her behavior.

On the next eppy, Stephen Baldwin threatens to also resign. I can't imagine that Trump will allow that to happen, namely because he's great TV. Then again, I couldn't imagine Gene Simmons NOT winning Celebrity Apprentice and he was one of the first to go.

Mine remain that the episode was too long, too weird, and too dramatic. But I might be in the minority with that.

From reading other blogs and posts around the web, I think I'm in the minority with my opinion that the latest Celebrity Apprentice was a hard one to watch. I found it difficult on a few levels:

It was a truly loooong episode.

It was filled with ridiculous drama. The challenge of pulling off a particular business project is dramatic enough. I don't need the Sopranoesque touch of the mob to add to it.

I found the whole Stephen Baldwin/Piers Morgan saga very confusing. Like this segment, for example.

So, what did you guys think of last night's Celeb Apprentice?

Wasn't it the oddest show? Two hours of this dark, mean spirited BS. Yikes. And here I just posted about what a great show it was a day or two ago. I spoke too soon.

First of all, what the heck was with Vinnie Pastore? He went from side to side, and I couldn't tell if he was acting or friggin serious when he kept threatening Piers. It's like the guy's team just imploded.

And Stephen Baldwin, while I had blogged about what a pleasant surprise he has become, turned out very un-likeable last night. Sometimes he DID come off like a hypocrite, and I don't know if it's editing or if that's the way he really is either.

I have to say, I was also rather disappointed with Ivanka's opinion that sabotage is okay "if it's done right." Are you kidding me? This is how you act tough in business? By taking your opponent out at the knees instead of honestly doing a better job?

Last night was two hours of over-dramatic corporate BS. It made everyone from Ivanka to The Donald to the team members look bad.

Celeb Apprentice Back for a Second Season

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Celebrity Apprentice will be back for another season.

This is huge news, especially because the show is just a couple week's in. I have no doubt the writer's strike aided in this decision. But let's face it: Celebrity Apprentice IS a great show!

Apparently the second season will run much as the first, with celebs competing in business tasks, all for money for their favorite charity.

The second season of Celebrity Apprentice will premiere next January.

Omarosa and Nely Are Weak Links

As I was watching last night's Celebrity Appentice, it struck me how surprising a player Stephen Baldwin is! I didn't have very high hopes for him upon first seeing the show. But he and Piers have shown that they're really the leaders of the group.

I did think Empresario might pull out a win this time. I really did. They seemed to do so well. But good ole Richard Branson helped Hydra snag a win.

My opinion: Nely and Omarosa are complete losers. They both need to go. Nely overpowers everybody and Omarosa stabs people in the back and lies. Oh the lies! She needs to go. If Marilu really believes that her, Omarosa, and Nely work well together, she's sadly mistaken. She'll be eaten alive by those two.

Ivanka at Home - Game of Clue Anyone?

I had to laugh on the last Celebrity Apprentice, when Trace Adkins said everyone should just calm down, have a smoke, and think about what to do next.

I also have to say I'm surprised by his showing on Celebrity Apprentice. Not being a country music fan per se, I didn't know all that much about him ahead of time. However, he's proving to be one interesting character.

Take this article, for just one example. Read what he thinks about Omarosa, the government, the Celebrity Apprentice show, and on the 1994 shooting he endured from his wife. His attitude is pure southern gentlemen, yet tough-minded and fair. I think he'll be one to watch in the next few episodes.

Oh... Gene... I worried from you from the very start of the episode. Gosh it stinks that he was too pig-headed to bring Nely in the boardroom. She deserved to go, too. Two weeks in a row she just talked over the client like a maniac.

And Trump tried to give Gene every opportunity to save himself. You could tell. But Simmons was just too stubborn.

No Women Teaching at Trump U

Caught this interesting press release on Trump University.

Trump University? He created a university?

Makes sense to me. And I'm sure it's wildly successful - especially with the launch of the Apprentice TV Series.

So I hopped on over to the main page and saw what I expected: Trump has extended his brand. He knows his brand. He's a smart guy. And I'm sure the stuff he's teaching is valuable to boot.

I have one complaint. When I click over to the "faculty" page, I see a few ex-Apprentice winners, some other business guys.... but no women? None?

I know Donald can't be one of those guys that thinks women belong at home. Nothing about his show or his appearances on television give me that impression. The impression I get is that he's equally impressed by men and women with brains, loyalty, and guts.

Besides that, he's obviously raised his daughter to be smart. The girl isn't just gorgeous, she's intelligent.

So, why Donald, are there no women teaching at your university? I gotta know.

Macy's CEO Terry Lundgren will appear on tonite's Celebrity Apprentice as a judge. Apparently Lundgren and Ivanka Trump will be judges for Team Hydra and their pet commercial. Rumor is Trade Adkins is the project manager for Hydra on this one.

I like that they're having the Trump kids do the judging, and that Ivanka is judging Hydra with Donald, Jr. judging the ladies. I hope Donald, Jr. continues to call Omarosa on her shenanigans!

Here's that great clip from the first episode, which had Omarosa arguing with Piers Morgan. She really did not hold up well in this round, and I think Piers really intimidated her. Besides that (like he said) he's on the #1 show in America in summer and she's.... well... not doing anything besides Celebrity Apprentice (as far as celebrity status goes, at least).

Notice how Gene Simmons sits with that cat that ate the canary smile. Love him!

An article in the Baltimore Sun talks about the growing popularity of stars from the MMA (that's mixed martial arts for the rest of us.) Of course he mentions Tito Ortiz' new gig on Celebrity Apprentice.

I also was glad to see Ortiz participating in Celebrity Apprentice. He's fascinating to me: an ultimate fighter (much different than a mere boxer - sorry Lennox) dating a porn star, and yet represents a "brand" like any other big name supermodel, pop star, or athlete.

Besides that, he's a major bad ass.

We didn't see much of him on Thursday's premiere. However, I have a feeling he'll be a major player in the next several episodes.

Tiffany Fallon Talks About Celebrity Apprentice

There's an interview with Tiffany Fallon, the first Celebrity Apprentice FI-RED by the Donald on TVGuide.

It's a great interview, and one thing I liked was that they asked if Nadia Comaneci said a single word the entire episode. (I wondered that too.)

Fallon seems very funny and smart. AND she announced that she was pregnant while shooting Celebrity Apprentice besides. That's got to be hard to deal with. I know those hours are very long.

The funniest question and answer was when the interviewer asked about Trump's insistence that Fallon call up her buddy Hef to buy a hotdog for $10,000.
